BD Vacutainer Trace Element Plastic Blood Collection Tubes offer dependable and simple solutions to facilitate trace-element, toxicology, and nutritional-chemistry testing. With a centrifugation or inversion, one can activate a clot or anticoagulant. Plus Plastic Tubes can provide a serum sample while K2EDTA Coated Tubes provide a plasma sample. K2EDTA Tubes with 10.8 mg liquid solution are capable of yielding both whole blood or EDTA plasma samples. The Tubes are 13 x 100 mm with 6 mL draw volume. The Hemogard closure is specially designed for convenience; it has a recessed inner design and a plastic covered shield to prevent contact with the blood on the stopper or outer rim. The closure ensures smooth operation and helps avoid any blood splattering when opening the tube.
