Product Overview
Amoxicillin Capsules USP are a penicillin-class antibacterial indicated for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections involving the ear, nose, throat, genitourinary tract, skin and skin structure, and lower respiratory tract. Amoxicillin may also be used in combination therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori associated with duodenal ulcer disease.
This oral antibiotic works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and is available in 250 mg and 500 mg capsule strengths. Amoxicillin should be used only for infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria to help reduce the development of drug-resistant organisms.
