Product Overview
Pentacel® is a combination vaccine that provides active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (DTaP), poliovirus (IPV), and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) in a single 0.5 mL dose. Designed for use in children 6 weeks through 4 years of age (prior to fifth birthday), Pentacel simplifies the pediatric vaccination schedule by reducing the number of injections. Each dose contains 15 Lf diphtheria toxoid, 5 Lf tetanus toxoid, 20 mcg pertussis antigens, 62 D-antigen units of IPV, and 10 mcg of Hib conjugated to tetanus protein. Supplied as a preservative-free single-dose vial (SDV), Pentacel is ideal for routine infant immunization.
